TABLEAU DEVELOPER
The Tableau Developer develops and implements quality business intelligence (BI) projects within a given timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement stable and scalable analytic and reporting solutions.
Deliver high quality software solutions in line with business needs and timescales.
Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard
Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required
Document test cases and construct test scripts.
Communicate results in a user-friendly format.
Validate reports to ensure data accuracy.
Design and Implement Data Marts and Data Warehouses using best practices.
Use data modeling techniques to define and support database schema development.
Create and automate reports.
Undertake appropriate data analysis for ad-hoc reporting.
Create user guides and documentation on both run management and ad-hoc reporting where
Investigate quality control failures and resolve or escalate to appropriate team as needed.
Communicate effectively across and within teams.
Interact with customers as needed to provide technical information via conference calls or on-
Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Operations and Support Team.
Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information
at least 5 years hands on experience with Tableau
Familiarity with one or more of the following areas:
Microstrategy, Datastage, Terradata, Cognos, SAP Bobj, Qlikview, Yellowfin, Jaspersoft
Data visualization
Relational Databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
BI data architecture
Datawarehouse design
Performance tuning and optimization
Designing data models, star schemas, snowflake schemas and 1-3NF data models
Logical and analytical skills
Ability to work in fast changing environment
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to prioritize and multi-task across numerous work streams
Strong Interpersonal and client facing skills
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Attention to details
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Fundamental knowledge in Agile Methodology, SDLC, Waterfall or any Project Management
Background in scoping, planning and project management a plus
Willing to work on a shifting schedule
