DATA VISUALIZATION SPECIALIST
We are seeking a Data Visualization Specialist who has a strong proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends, patters, and insights that can be effectively communicated through visualizations. The ideal candidate should be able to leverage his/her expertise in data visualization tools, understanding of UX principles, and programming skills to create visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports that drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify significant trends, patterns, and
actionable insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them
into effective data visualizations.
Data Visualization:
Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or D3.js to create
interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
Design and develop custom visualizations that effectively communicate data stories and
insights.
User Experience (UX) Design:
Apply UX principles to design dashboards that are user-friendly, intuitive to navigate,
and accessible across different devices and platforms.
Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the usability and
effectiveness of data visualizations.
Problem-Solving and Innovation:
Identify data visualization challenges and explore alternative solutions to address them.
Implement effective strategies to overcome visualization obstacles and enhance data
comprehension.
Gen AI and Future-Proofing:
Leverage foundational Gen AI skillsets to deliver future-proof, optimum, and efficient
tools for answering business questions.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data visualization and AI
technologies.
Programming and Technical Skills:
Utilize programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R to manipulate and analyze
data.
Develop and maintain automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and
loading (ETL).
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather
requirements and deliver high-quality visualizations.
Present findings and insights to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology,
Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
3+ years of proven experience in data visualization and data analysis.
Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or
D3.js.
Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
Strong understanding of UX principles and experience in designing user-friendly
dashboards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explore alternative solutions.
Foundational knowledge of Gen AI skillsets.
Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to effectively manage complexity and ambiguity.
Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Willing to work on a contractual/project basis.
Wiling to work on a hybrid work set-up.
