DATA TESTER

The Data Tester plays a pivotal role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability within the organization. This specialist role focuses on validating and testing data flows, pipelines, and integrations to meet business requirements and data quality standards. By conducting rigorous tests and identifying data issues, the Data Tester helps maintain the integrity of data systems, enabling teams to deliver accurate insights and models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding Data Frameworks: Gain an in-depth understanding of enterprise data architecture, including BSS, OSS, and overall Data Cloud frameworks, to develop effective testing strategies.

• Test Data Management: Implement efficient methods for managing test data, such as data masking, generation, and ensuring compliance with data security regulations.

• Test Execution: Conduct thorough testing of data flows, pipelines, and integrations to identify errors, discrepancies, and quality issues.

• Requirements Collaboration: Work closely with front- and back-office teams to understand and document data requirements for accurate test planning.

• Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and datasets based on business requirements and expected outcomes.

• Data Validation: Verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data at various stages of the data journey, from source to destination.

• Automation: Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve the efficiency of data flow testing.

• Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and identified issues, ensuring traceability and knowledge sharing.

• Performance Testing: Evaluate system performance under different conditions to assess scalability, response times, and resource usage.

• Regression Testing: Ensure that updates or changes to data flows do not compromise existing functionality by conducting thorough regression testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA/Testing/Development, with at least 3 years in SQL and Test Automation.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and test automation tools.

  • Familiarity with testing tools and platforms such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, regression).

  • Understanding of BSS, OSS, IN, and network systems and data structures (preferred).

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

Employment Details:

• Duration: Project-based employment for 3 months starting January 2025.

• Work Setup: Work from home.
