Last February 26, company executives converged at F1 Hotel Manila, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig to participate in MISNet’s SCP breakfast forum with ToolsGroup. Guests were treated to breakfast while chatting with our solutions specialists. Despite the rainy weather, the function room was packed with individuals from various industries.
MISNet organized the breakfast forum with supply chain managers in mind. The event received interest from demand planners, warehouse managers, inventory heads, and distribution heads. The response was quite overwhelming. Everyone was gathered to listen to our guest speaker who flew in all the way from Barcelona, Spain.
The forum’s speaker was ToolsGroup’s Richard Wallis, Technical Director for Global Support and Professional Services. Mr. Wallis discussed next-generation supply chain planning and how it is moving away from the traditional “one-size-fits-all” structure. He gave an insightful presentation on the typical problems in supply chain planning and how to remedy them. He discussed how automating the supply chain, from demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment planning, can reap higher service levels at a lower operation cost. The open forum was filled with lively discussion that was helpful to both the attendees and us.
